Crockpot Shredded Chicken

The fastest and simplest way to make shredded chicken for use in all sorts of dishes!

Premade shredded chicken in the grocery store is so convienent, but the price may scare you! I recently saw some at my local store for almost $8/lb! With this recipe all you need is chicken breast and a few seasonings and you've got delicious shredded chicken!

Save time and money with this recipe.

The chicken can be used in a variety of dishes, from casseroles to enchiladas. It takes less than 5 minutes to prep the chicken and I know you'll love the flavor! When the chicken is ready, it will fall apart with a spoon. Enjoy!


Crockpot Shredded Chicken


Ingredients


  • 1lb chicken breast

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 heaping tablespoon Knorr caldo de pollo

  • 1 small onion

  • 2 cups water

Instructions


  1. Line chicken in crockpot and top with salt, pepper, and caldo de pollo.

  2. Cut onion in half and place on chicken.

  3. Cover with 2 cups of water or enough to cover chicken completely.

  4. Cook on low for 6 hours for thin cut chicken or 8 hours for thicker cuts.

  5. Shred chicken and emjoy!
